In Government Fine Gael will be committed to reducing the number of TDs in the parliament by more than 20, abolishing the Seanad completely, drastically reducing Minister’s pay levels and introducing a fair and transparent expenses regime for all Oireachtas members. The abolition of the Seanad and the reduction of over 20 TDs would save an estimated 150 million euro over the term of a Dail.
